A PROGRAM ONLY WORKS IF IT'S TECHNIQUES AND TACTICS CAN BE APPLIED BY ITS PERSONNEL IN THE REAL WORLD.
Just a shout out to CFTF. A couple of weeks ago Shelby County's Tactical Response Unit took 3rd place at the State Swat competition and 2nd in the Physical challenge. The guys on my team are a fit bunch. All of this is to say that tonight at training we did several timed combat courses - move and shoot, obstacles, rifle at distance, running ect... All in full gear. I had the fastest overall time by a decent margin - and the guys took note saying things to each other like "You had a good time, but it wasn't better than Combat Fitness over here" To Sean, Tony, and everyone else at CFTF, I just want to say thanks. Thanks for creating an environment were I can Struggle, Sweat, Conquer and continue to develop my edge - personally and professionally. Here's to the Journey.

I had a hard glimpse into reality today... I am the oldest female in OPs.
At first and very quickly, the thought scared me, then I smiled...
I know it is true on paper and I can talk about it but never slowed down enough to let it sink in. I am closing in on 50 years old standing on the Olympic Platform doing lifts that 5 months ago I
didn't even know existed and the thought of doing them would have never entered my head. I ran a 10k trail race last week when even in my 30s would have never attempted to do. I have propelled my
general physical preparedness to skyrocketing heights. How? My training ... why and what would someone close to 50 train for?
I train for LIFE! For my personal fitness and health, to assist my body to function at it's best and to handle whatever comes my way.
I chose Combat Fitness Training Facility to guide me in this journey and it has proved to be a superior decision bringing forth major results. The changes I have seen over the last 8 months are
amazing. Starting out, don't we all just want to lose a few pounds and look good in our swimsuits? As time went on, I realized I was not only reaching that goal but gaining a mental toughness
and confidence that I had lost years ago. A belief that I could do more than I had given myself credit for and I felt great inside and out.
I challenge you to tell your friends what CFTF is doing for you! If you want, post your brief story below but then most importantly, tell someone that is not a member! Sean's training
plans can fit into anyone's lifestyle no matter their age, history, or physical condition and there is no reason the entire city should not know what we know!
I have enjoyed this year of fitness with you all - yes, we are members of a gym but somehow we have become family :)
Looking forward to what lies ahead in 2011 at the top of the hill!

I started at CFTF on 10MAY2010 in response to a yearly physical that was not particularly good news. I was 232 pounds and had a cholesterol reading of 245 while taking a cholesterol medication. I had been exercising, on my own, and eating what I thought was pretty good diet. I needed something and I went to see Sean at CFTF. He had come by the PD and introduced himself a month earlier and my buddy Opie had started there and was showing great results. I told Sean about my arthritis, bad knee, and fat ass and asked if he could work out a regimen for me. He did and my follow up physical in early SEP had these results: 212 pounds; Cholesterol 132; Blood Pressure 111/65. Pretty f’n good! In SEP, I participated in “Fight Gone Bad” w/ the CFTF Team. It’s no BS how I feel about this facility. It has been life changing and I have made some very good friends. Do yourself a favor and give it a try.
